Private Tour for NYU Students
Edgar Allan Poe, His Ghostly Neighbors and His Connection to NYU 8 PM
Go in search of the spirits of Eleanor Roosevelt and her pet dog Fala, Aaron Burr, Washington Square Arch, and, of course, several Edgar Allan Poe sites. Edgar Alan Poe recited poetry and presented lectures at the Gothic Tower of New York University in the early nineteenth century. We will visit ghost central, the most haunted area in America, Washington Square Park, where Edgar Allan Poe still takes a spectral stroll among his fellow spirits.
The tour is 90 minutes in duration and less than a mile in length.
Everything is handicap accessible.
Meeting Point: This tour departs from Fire Patrol Station No. 2, 84 West Third Street, now the home of Anderson Cooper, one block south of Washington Square Park between Thompson and Sullivan Streets, in Manhattan.
Fee: If you are an NYU student interested in the tour, the cost is $15 per person. Please contact Mr. Andy Chang, the NYU RA and sponsor of this event at (646)-932-0536.
If you have questions about the tour in general, you can speak to Dr. Phil, an NYU graduate, at (718) 591-4741.
